Synthesisers

If you own a vintage synthesiser you likely will have noticed that it has one or more issues from decades of use. These issues can include poor tuning, temperamental behaviour, crackling knobs, dead keys, and low or no output. I rarely have a synth in front of me that doesn’t require at least some tweaking. A service can fix all of these issues and give your instrument further decades of use.

Over the course of repairing, servicing and owning synthesisers from dozens of manufacturers, I have not only built up an inventory of hard to find parts, but also the ability to source replacement parts from various corners of the globe. This is of course important given that many parts in your beloved keyboard are no longer manufactured.

Fortunately the love for and demand of these old instruments has resulted in many parts being remanufactured, and many great upgrades being developed to bring old synths into the modern age. I frequently am being asked to install modifications such as those from Kiwitechnics and Tubbutec.

Each job is approached differently. When parts are not available or when otherwise necessary, I produce my own parts. I operate a high end 3D printer and have modelled many custom parts, enclosures, etc. I can produce decals and custom pcbs as well where needed.
